Proteus’ Roz ready to glove up at York Hall
Since her first training session on September 2nd, Proteus Waterproofing’s Office Manager Roz Richardson has come a long, long way on the road to York Hall, Bethnal Green. Now, with just a few days to go and after 12 weeks of intensive training, Roz is fighting fit and ready for her white collar boxing debut on Friday 27th November.
Under the guidance of Chris Barnes at the Ripped Gym Fight Club in Basildon, Roz has tirelessly honed her boxing skills in preparation for the big night in East London. She is now chomping at the bit and can’t wait to show what she has learned when the curtain goes up at the spiritual home of UK boxing.
Both Roz and Proteus have also been regularly tweeting throughout her training to show the progress that she has made. From learning to keep her guard up following a tough sparring session to her trainer announcing she is “actually starting to look like a boxer”, Roz continues to push herself to the limit to get in top fighting shape.
Roz said: “The event is raising much-needed funds for two local charities which are close to my heart, so it was hugely important that I put my all into training and the fight itself. I hope the gruelling 12 week training programme will help me to put on an impressive performance on the night and to win would be brilliant.”
