Proteus reach regional finals of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2016

Proteus Waterproofing is thrilled to announce the company has been selected as an East of England Regional Finalist for the National Apprenticeship Awards 2016.

Now in its 13th year, the National Apprenticeship Awards recognises employers and businesses from across England that can demonstrate how apprenticeships apprentices can make a real difference to their organisation and careers, whilst recognising businesses that grow their own talent with apprenticeships and apprentices.

Proteus currently employs two apprentices at its offices in Rayleigh, Essex.  The previous two apprentices have moved on to being permanent members of staff having successfully completed their apprenticeship programmes at the company.

Commenting on the nomination, Rozalind Richardson of Proteus Waterproofing said: “We are delighted to see our apprenticeship programme receive recognition for its high quality training. Our company ethos is to take the raw talent and enthusiasm of young people who have a desire to succeed, and through the apprenticeship programme, guide and nurture them.  This helps develop their skills and shape their careers whilst supporting the growth of the business.”

Proteus apprentices work hard to achieve a vocational qualification that stands them in good stead for their future, whilst at the same time being provided with a raft of training and developmental opportunities within an office environment in the construction industry.

“Proteus is a growing company with big aspirations and our rapid growth is in part attributable to the invaluable contribution made to the business by our apprentices,” added Rozalind.

Proteus are looking forward to attending the National Apprenticeship Awards ceremony in October to see if they are crowned East of England Regional Winners and can then compete in the national ceremony, held at the Grosvenor House in London on 20th January 2017.
