Project Brief:

With the high level asphalt roof to the rear of the block leaking, the building’s residents required a high performance and long term waterproofing system.  Stripping the existing asphalt roof and replacing it would have been costly and dangerous.  Proteus Waterproofing was appointed to supply 200m2 of Proteus Pro-System® which could be applied by the licensed contractor as an overlay, offering the clients the most cost-effective and least disruptive solution.

Key Requirements: Health and Safety

As Proteus Pro-System® is cold installed, it meets all health and safety criteria to occupied buildings and minimises risk of fire. Working in a residential environment, the low odour application allowed the Proteus licensed contractor to work safely and with minimal disruption to residents and members of the public.

With the project requiring a seamless membrane, Proteus Waterproofing worked in close partnership with the licensed contractor to successfully deliver the waterproofing application to a very high standard.

Proteus Pro-System® waterproofing system offers 10, 15, 20 and 25 year durability options which are also available with independently provided insurance. For the Embassy Court refurbishment, Proteus Pro-System® was supplied with a 20 -year life expectancy before its first major maintenance.
