Proteus Pro-System® Plus
The existing lead roof was stolen and a high performance, theft proof solution, sympathetic to the original was required.

Unfortunately, the existing lead roof covering was stolen leaving the kiosk incredibly vulnerable to leaks and damages. The client needed a high performance, theft proof solution that would be sympathetic to the character of the original lead roof, therefore, Proteus Pro-System® Plus was selected as the ideal waterproofing solution.
High Performance Waterproofing
Fortunately, the existing roof timbers were still strong and required no repairs. To create the illusion of a traditional lead roof, artificial lead rolls were installed and overlaid with Mid-Grey Proteus Pro-System® Plus. This provided the client with a fully bonded, watertight, anti-theft system, further extending the roof’s lifetime expectancy by a minimum of 20 years. As Proteus Pro-System® Plus is easy to apply, a seamless finish could be achieved on the difficult detailing of the metal weathervane. Its fast-curing properties meant seagulls and wildlife could be kept away from the roof during the curing process. Proteus Waterproofing worked closely with the Proteus Approved Contractor to ensure the project was completed to a high standard.
Health & Safety
Pavilion Gardens attracts many members of the public, so it was essential that disruptions were kept to a minimum. Proteus Pro-System® Plus is a low odour, no noise application which meant works could be completed with minimal disruption. Proteus Waterproofing’s liquid applied systems are cold installed and therefore remove the risk of fire, allowing the Proteus Approved Contractor to complete the works safely, meeting all health and safety criteria.
